About

trinkgut, legally Trinkgut Getränkeeinzelhandel GmbH, is a German beverage wholesaler and retail chain seated at Edekaplatz 1 in Moers and entered at Amtsgericht Kleve under HRB 9929.[1] It grew from the first drive-in beverage market opened in Duisburg in 1978 by Udo Täubrich, was taken over by the regional Edeka company Edeka Rhein-Ruhr in 2010 after clearance by the Bundeskartellamt, and ran 264 markets in 2021, mainly in North Rhine-Westphalia.[2] Its parent Edeka Rhein-Ruhr merged into Edeka Nordwest on 1 July 2026.[3] Its own brands include the drinks brand Leonie and the beers Traugott Simon and Oscar Maxxum.[2] The GS1 company prefix 4250106 is recorded here as derived, not registered: no public register names the licensee, and every barcode seen under the prefix is a Leonie article whose brand trinkgut owns.[4]
