About Sony Music Entertainment (Taiwan)
Sony Music Entertainment (Taiwan) Ltd. (新力哥倫比亞音樂股份有限公司) is Sony's Taiwanese record company, which started operating in March 1993.[1] Its English name became Sony Music Entertainment Taiwan Ltd. in 2002; in early 2005 it merged with BMG Music Taiwan Inc. to form Sony BMG Music Entertainment (Taiwan) Ltd., and the name reverted to Sony Music Entertainment Taiwan Ltd. in 2008–2009.[1]
Domestic albums carried catalogue numbers SDD yyxx and barcodes beginning 4 716331, while some releases used barcodes beginning 4 893391.[1] It is credited as a label on the Taiwanese edition of George Michael's Patience (2004).[2]
