Sony Music Entertainment (Spain) S.A. was the Spanish record company of the Sony Music group, based at Paseo de la Castellana 93 in Madrid and active from 1991, when it took over from Discos CBS, until a 2004 merger that formed its successor company.[1] Because the Columbia name belonged to another company in Spain until 2004, its releases of Columbia catalogue kept the CBS or CBS/Sony label after 1991.[2] It distributed Spanish copies of the European CD of Bob Dylan's Oh Mercy.[3]
