Sonopress GmbH is a media manufacturer headquartered in Gütersloh, Germany, founded on 22 April 1958 to press vinyl records for the Bertelsmann Record Club. It began making compact discs in 1984, operated as Arvato Entertainment between 2008 and 2015, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA in its Bertelsmann Marketing Services division.^[1] Discogs records a rebranding to Sonopress Arvato on 1 July 2004 and gives the address Carl-Bertelsmann-Str. 161 F, Gütersloh.^[2] It is a separate entry from the US plant Sonopress Arvato USA.
