About Record Industry
Record Industry is a Dutch vinyl pressing plant in Haarlem, established in June 1998 when Ton Vermeulen and partners took over the operations of the Sony/CBS plant there; it agreed to remain the manufacturer of Sony product on vinyl.[1] With more than 30 presses and in-house cutting, galvanoplasty and printing it is one of the largest pressing plants in the world, and it presses all Music On Vinyl releases.[1] Its job numbers open the runout inscriptions, as 29424 does on the 2025 House of Flying Daggers LP.[2]
In April 2022 the company merged with the distributor Bertus into a new holding, which Discogs lists as the Artone Label Group.[1]
