PolyGram Records, Inc. was the American record company of the PolyGram group, created in 1972 by merging the US Polydor and Mercury/Philips companies, with offices at 810 Seventh Avenue in New York.[1] It marketed and manufactured US pressings of European PolyGram labels, among them the Deutsche Grammophon CD of Karajan's Mozart Requiem, 419 867-2.[2] The company ended in 1999, after Seagram bought PolyGram and merged it into Universal Music Group.[1]
