PMDC

About

PMDC was a compact disc manufacturing plant in Louviers, France, operating as Polygram Manufacturing and Distribution Centers (PMDC) S.A. from June 1993 until April 1999, when the plant was renamed.^[1] Discs it pressed can usually be identified by "Made in France by PMDC" or "PMDC FRANCE" in the matrix or on the disc face; the plant mostly used matrix suffixes such as 00 L7 and 90 L7, the mastering SID code IFPI L004 and, from 1994, mould SID codes IFPI 02xx.^[1] It pressed the French edition of Léo Ferré's Avec le temps… (Barclay 841 919-2).^[2]
