About Orkla Food Ingredients
Orkla Food Ingredients AS is the Oslo company through which the Orkla group holds its bakery and sweet ingredients businesses, which trade across Europe and in the United States and sell pastry and bread ingredients, margarine, frozen cakes, yeast, ice cream ingredients and sweet decorations under business units including Idun, KåKå, Credin, Odense Group, Sonneveld and Nic.[1] It is registered in Norway under organisation number 911161419 at Drammensveien 149A in Oslo, was incorporated on 12 September 1918, and GLEIF, which holds LEI 529900NQ32W6QXO9X947 for it, records ORKLA ASA as both its direct and its ultimate parent.[2][3][4]
The register gives it four names: NORA AS until November 1995, ORKLA FOODS AS until May 2008, ORKLA BRANDS AS until 20 January 2015, and the present one since.[2] Under the name Orkla Brands AS it was the wholly owned subsidiary through which Orkla ASA bought 69,900,380 shares, 90.11 per cent of the Bergen food group Rieber & Søn ASA, on 26 April 2013, the purchase that made this company the registered owner of that group.[5] Its 1995 to 2008 legal name, ORKLA FOODS AS, is the name a different Orkla company, organisation number 930097705, has carried since February 2025.[2][6]
