About
Modern Music Records GmbH was a Berlin record company founded in 1981 by Karl-Ulrich Walterbach, which owned the Noise Records, Machinery and Dynamica labels until it was sold to the Sanctuary Records Group in 2001; releases usually credit it simply as Modern Music.[1] The company sat at Kurfürstenstraße 23 in Berlin-Schöneberg, the address the Machinery label also used, and Walterbach held the rights to the labels while their day-to-day management lay with their own staff.[1][2]
