About GEPP
GEPP, legally Grupo GEPP, S.A.P.I. de C.V., is a Mexican beverage company based in Mexico City that bottles Pepsi in Mexico and is the country's second-largest bottler, behind Coca-Cola FEMSA.[1] It was formed in 2011 by merging The Pepsi Bottling Group México, Gatorade México and GEUSA, bringing together the assets of Organización Cultiba, the Venezuelan Empresas Polar and PepsiCo; its drinks include Pepsi, Pepsi Black, Gatorade, 7 Up, Mirinda, Manzanita Sol, e-Pura and Be Light.[1] Its consumer line is printed on the Mexican Pepsi Black label.[2]
GEUSA, its predecessor, was PepsiCo's main bottler in Mexico from 1989. In April 2017 Polmex Holdings raised its stake in GEPP to 40 % by buying 11 % from a Cultiba subsidiary.[1]
