Equal Vision Records

About

Equal Vision Records (EVR) is an independent record label based in Albany, New York. Ray Cappo, singer of Youth of Today and Shelter, founded it in the early 1990s to distribute Shelter's releases, and label manager Steve Reddy acquired it in 1992.^[1] Discogs gives its postal address as P.O. Box 38202, Albany, NY, and its website as equalvision.com.^[2] It released Coheed and Cambria's In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 in 2003,^[3] and is credited as co-label and as copyright holder on the later Columbia CD of the album.^[4] A Discogs entry for another pressing prints the name as Equal Vision Records, Inc.^[5]
