Dah Chong Hong Holdings Limited is the Hong Kong holding company of the DCH group, an integrated motor and consumer products distributor that serves more than 1,000 brands across 14 Asian economies and employs over 11,000 people.^[1] Its motor business deals in more than 20 vehicle marques and the related leasing, repair and parts trades, while its consumer business trades and distributes food, FMCG, healthcare and electrical products, operates HACCP-certified food processing centres at Yuen Long and Fo Tan and supplies Hong Kong retail under the Sims, IMSA and DCH banners.^[2][1] It has been wholly owned by CITIC Pacific Limited since the privatisation that ended its stock exchange listing in 2019.^[1][3]

The business dates from 1949 and traded as Dah Chong Hong Limited, which remains its Hong Kong trading arm.^[4] CITIC Pacific acquired about 34.86 per cent of it in 1991 and the rest in 1992, the company took its present name in 1994, and it listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange under the code 1828 in 2007.^[4] CITIC Pacific proposed the privatisation by a scheme of arrangement in October 2019, and the shares left the Hang Seng indexes with effect from 27 December 2019.^[5][3] Within the group the chain runs CITIC Group, CITIC Limited, CITIC Pacific, DCH Holdings.^[6] Its DCH Food Mart grocery chain, once one of the largest food retailers in Hong Kong, closed all of its stores in March 2024, while the food import and distribution business continues.^[4]
