About Compact Disc Technologies

Compact Disc Technologies, known as CDT, is an optical disc manufacturer in Midrand, South Africa, founded in February 1991 and described on Discogs as the first and largest disc plant on the African continent.[1] Its 2016 website called it the largest independent manufacturer of digital discs in Africa, offering CD and DVD replication, duplication, authoring, printing and packaging, and stated that CDT was a Times Media Group company.[2] Discogs credits it as the manufacturer of South African pressings such as the 2005 CD + DVD edition of Fiona Apple's Extraordinary Machine.[3]
