CD-Linja

company

About

CD-Linja was a Finnish manufacturer of optical discs and cassettes in Helsinki. The Finnish Trade Register holds the business under ID 0985259-2, registered on 9 November 1994, carrying the name CD-Linja, Digital Communication Media Oy from 24 January 2001, renamed Dicentia Finland Oy on 20 December 2005 while keeping CD-Linja, Kasettilinja and Reproneliö as auxiliary trade names, and ended on 22 December 2010.[1] The stub is named for the plant name that appears on the discs it pressed, which the register kept as an auxiliary name to the end. CD-Linja OY is credited as the presser of one of the two 2000 pressings of the Columbia CD single "Stockholm - Helsinki", and the plant name is transcribed in that disc's runout.[2] The register's earliest recorded name for the business begins in 2001, so the identification with the plant named on the 2000 disc rests on the name alone.
