About Beverage Partners Worldwide (Europe)
Beverage Partners Worldwide (Europe) AG, since 2019 Global Libations Supply AG (UID CHE-101.943.927), is the Swiss company of Beverage Partners Worldwide, the 50:50 joint venture of The Coca-Cola Company and Nestlé that developed and sold Nestea and, until 2006, Nescafé ready-to-drink drinks outside the United States.[1][2] The venture started in 1991, was suspended in 1994, relaunched in 2001 and ended with effect from 1 January 2018.[1] The company signs the copyright line of the Austrian and Swiss Nestea labels recorded here.[3] Since November 2019 its registered purpose has stated that it is part of The Coca-Cola Group of Companies.[4]
In 2007 the venture, then made up of Beverage Partners Worldwide, S.A. and Beverage Partners Worldwide (North America), dropped its coffee business to concentrate on ready-to-drink tea such as Nestea and Enviga.[5] The register lists Beverage Partners Worldwide SA as an earlier name of the same entity, with earlier seats in Urdorf and Zürich.[2] In March 2019 the company moved its seat from Zürich to Wangen-Brüttisellen and replaced its board, whose chair and vice-chair had been Patrice Bula and John William Hackett.[6] Statutes of 29 November 2019 renamed it Global Libations Supply AG (Global Libations Supply SA, Global Libations Supply Ltd) and rewrote its purpose around holdings in tea and other beverages; its share capital is CHF 1,000,000.[4] In 2023 it moved its seat to Opfikon, at Thurgauerstrasse 132/134 in Glattpark.[7]
