The Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA) is the independent music distribution arm of Warner Music Group; it was created in 1993 as a joint venture between WMG and Restless Records, and it handles physical and digital distribution, marketing, merchandising and licensing for independent labels.[1] It is on Barcodepedia because nicheMusic.com, Inc. named it in 2000 as the domestic distributor of its San Francisco hip hop label 75 Ark, before Tommy Boy Music took that role.[2][3]

    The label's owner nicheMusic.com, Inc. wrote on its own site, captured 2000-06-08, that "75 Ark is distributed domestically by the Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA)". The arrangement had ended by the October 2000 Deltron 3030 CD, which credits Tommy Boy Music as distributor (^discogs-digipak); no source dates the change
