Includes any products that may be described/observed as a blend of clay and water, sometimes with added sand or straw. These products may contain other agents, such as natural additives or binders. Clay mortar is a material used in masonry or traditional construction to fill gaps between blocks or bricks and to bind them together. The blocks may be stone, brick, or adobe.

Excludes

Excludes cement-based mortars, lime mortars, synthetic additives, concrete dyes, leveling mixes, bonding agents, as well as pure clay without any preparation for use as mortar, and mixes containing cement.
