Light Sockets

Includes any products that can be described/observed as a system deigned to mechanically hold and electrically connect a lamp bulb to the electrical wiring. Includes products designed for either bayonet fitting or screw fitting light bulbs. Some light bulb sockets used on freestanding lamps may have a knob on the side of the socket, which enables the light to be switched on and off.

Excludes

Specifically excludes wall sockets, which connect mains electricity to household appliances via a mains plug. Excludes products such as lighting ballasts or starters.
