Includes any products that may be described/observed as usually elongated, segmented invertebrates. They are found in most wet environments, and include many terrestrial, freshwater, and especially marine species (such as the polychaetes), as well as some that are parasitic or mutualistic. These animals can range in length from under a millimetre to over 3 metres long. Includes the well-known earthworms and leeches.

Excludes any arachnids or insects as well as any other invertebrates not affiliated with the Annelida group.
