Velveeta
brand
About
Velveeta is an American processed cheese brand, developed in 1918 by Emil Frey at the Monroe Cheese Company in Monroe, New York, and named to suggest a velvety smooth texture. A separate Velveeta company was incorporated in 1923 and sold to Kraft in 1927.[1] The brand is now published by Kraft Heinz, which markets it in the United States across cheese, cheese sauce pouches, microwavable bowls and one-pan dinner kits.[2]
