Universal Music TV (UMTV) is a London-based Universal Music Group label specialising in television-advertised compilation albums; it was formed in 1998, when Seagram acquired PolyGram and merged its labels, replacing the PolyGram TV label.[1] Discogs and MusicBrainz describe it as a division of Universal Music Operations Ltd, with label code LC 07341.[2][3] In 2016 the label was relaunched as Universal Music on Demand.[1]
