About Totino's
Totino's is a brand of frozen pizza products owned by General Mills, best known for its pizza rolls.[1] Rose and Jim Totino opened Totino's Italian Kitchen, a take-out pizzeria in Minneapolis, on 7 February 1951, and moved into frozen pizza in the early 1960s from a plant in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.[1]
The Totinos sold the frozen pizza business to the Pillsbury Company in 1975, and by the 1970s it was the top-selling frozen pizza in the United States.[1] Pillsbury bought Jeno Paulucci's Jeno's Pizza Rolls in 1985 for $135 million and moved the rolls to the Totino's name in 1993; Totino's passed to General Mills with its purchase of Pillsbury in 2001.[1] The brand also covers the Jeno's line.[1]
