Tim Hortons is the brand of the Canadian coffeehouse and restaurant chain founded in 1964 in Hamilton, Ontario, by ice hockey player Tim Horton and Jim Charade; the first doughnut store traded as Tim Horton Donuts before the name became Tim Hortons without the apostrophe.[1] The chain merged with Burger King in 2014 and has been a subsidiary of Restaurant Brands International since 15 December 2014.[1] The brand also appears on packaged beverage mixes sold through the chain's own online shop.[2]
