About

Swanson is a North American brand of frozen TV dinners, pot pies and broths, founded as C. A. Swanson & Sons in Omaha, Nebraska; the company introduced its turkey TV dinner in 1953 and was acquired by the Campbell Soup Company in 1955.[1] Campbell's spun the frozen meal business off in 1998 to what became Pinnacle Foods, which dropped the Swanson name on US dinners in 2009; Conagra Brands acquired Pinnacle in 2018 and the broth line stayed with Campbell's.[1] In Canada, Conagra Brands Canada sells Swanson frozen dinners such as the Stuffing Baked Turkey Dinner.[2]
