STAEDTLER is the house brand of STAEDTLER SE, a stationery maker based in Nuremberg, Germany. It signs pencils, markers, erasers, technical drawing instruments and modelling clay.[1] The company registered the Mars brand in 1900 and the Lumocolor marker brand in 1954. The head-of-Mars logo became Staedtler's defining logo in 1958.[1] Its Lumocolor permanent pens are sold under the STAEDTLER name. The maker's pages carry the STAEDTLER SE copyright.[2]
