About
Ritter Sport is the chocolate brand of Alfred Ritter GmbH & Co. KG, Waldenbuch, Germany.[1][2] It was launched in 1932 as "Ritter's Sport Schokolade", a square bar conceived by co-founder Clara Ritter to fit a sports jacket pocket without breaking; the standard bar is divided into 16 squares.[1] Since the 1970s each flavour has had its own wrapper colour, a range the company calls Bunte Vielfalt (Colourful Variety) in its 100 g square format.[3][1] The brand's product pages are at ritter-sport.com.[4]
