About

Penguin is the paperback imprint co-founded in 1935 by Allen Lane with his brothers Richard and John, first as an imprint of The Bodley Head before becoming a separate company the following year.[1] Its inexpensive sixpenny paperbacks brought quality fiction and non-fiction to the mass market, and Penguin Books is now an imprint of Penguin Random House.[1]
