Panda

brand

About

Panda is a Finnish confectionery brand known for liquorice and chocolate, made at the Vaajakoski factory near Jyväskylä.[1] The business was founded by SOK in 1920 as its confectionery factory and took the Panda name from a 1950s chocolate bar wrapper. It was sold in 2005 to Felix Abba of the Norwegian Orkla group.[1][2] Packs name Orkla Confectionery & Snacks Finland Ab as owner of the Panda trademark, and the Finnish trade register lists Panda Suklaatehdas as an auxiliary name of that company, now Orkla Suomi Finland Oy Ab.[3][4]
