Oatly

About

Oatly is a Swedish brand of oat-based alternatives to dairy products, produced by Oatly Group AB of Malmö.^[1] Food scientist Rickard Öste and his brother Björn Öste founded it in 1994, using research from Lund University. Its first product came out in 2001.^[1] The range includes oat drinks, ice cream, yoghurt substitutes, cooking cream and spreads, and its key markets are Sweden, Germany and the United Kingdom.^[1] The front of the carton prints the name as "OAT-LY!".^[2]
