About MCA Classics
MCA Classics was the classical music label of MCA Records, Inc., described by Discogs as an American classical label active from 1986 to 1997.[1] MusicBrainz lists it as a US imprint that owned the "Double Decker" and "Broadway Gold" series.[2] Its double decker two-CD sets reissued recordings from the Westminster catalogue, which MCA had acquired with ABC Records in 1979, among them Hermann Scherchen's 1959 Bach Mass in B minor (MCAD2-9821, 1989).[3][4]
