About

Danish brand of deli salads, potato salads, mayonnaise, remoulade and sauces, made at a factory at Havnsø on West Zealand and owned by Stryhns Gruppen.[1][2] The business was founded in 1937 in Copenhagen as Københavns Salatfabrik and took the name K-Salat in 1974.[1][2] The brand passed to the Norwegian Rieber & Søn in 2005, to Orkla in 2013, and to Stryhns in December 2017, when Orkla Foods Danmark sold it together with the Havnsø plant and its roughly 100 jobs.[1][3][4] Its slogan is "Det er godt at du kan få… salat med K på".[2]
