Dr. Oetker

About

Dr. Oetker is the German baking and dessert brand founded by the pharmacist August Oetker in Bielefeld in 1891, whose first product was Backin, a measured portion of baking powder for 500 g of flour.^[1] The brand carries the food business of the Oetker group, still headquartered in Bielefeld, and appears on baking additives, puddings, cake mixes and frozen pizza across Europe.^[1] In Poland it is run by Dr.Oetker Polska sp. z o.o. of Gdańsk, which publishes the Polish catalogue at oetker.pl and is named in that site's legal notice.^[2]
