Ballantine's is a brand of blended Scotch whisky produced by Chivas Brothers, the Pernod Ricard subsidiary in Dumbarton, Scotland.[1] It traces its heritage to George Ballantine's Edinburgh grocery of 1827, passed to Hiram Walker in 1937 and Allied Domecq in 1987, and was acquired by Pernod Ricard in 2005.[1] Its packs print www.ballantines.com and "Estd 1827".[2]
